Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC): challenges and possible solutions

Results from a series of studies on the use of ICT and high-tech AAC in social services and inclusive education will be presented. The problems identified will be discussed in the light of the human rights model of disability and the European inclusive education project. The experience of the AAC introduction in Bulgaria will be analysed and the main challenges formulated.
