Designing Eyes-Free Interaction on Mobile Devices and in Virtual Reality
(De 17h00 à 19h30 à l’Université Paris 8, salle C223)
Abstract: In this talk I will present some of the research my colleagues and I have done in designing sightless interaction on mobile devices and in virtual reality. I will present BrailleTouch, a soft keyboard for smartphones designed to mimic a braille writer and to allow users to type without looking at the screen. I will present student projects aimed at achieving immersion through 3D sound, thus effectively creating a sense of virtual reality but without graphics. I will also present a survey of the current research in the area and open for discussions.
